Desktop search tools review

I always thought there must be a practical replacement of windows default search utility, because it's terribly inefficient.

so i searched and found man many....

here is a review of them one by one.

copernic desktop : a good computer search tool, that finds text inside the files too. very efficient and good, but when i tried searching for files, it just gave me a bit too many options, when i just wanted to find a file name, ended up un installing it.

Yahoo desktop : tried to access it, but i got redirected to x1 something site, which was selling it's desktop tool, so i no i did not install it.

ask toolbar : it generated error everytime i tried to install or use it,

Msn desktop search : as bad software as is expected of microsoft.

Google desktop : a very thorough interface, with shortcut of pressing ctrl twice, finds inside the files as well, but i find to use it a bit inconvenient as compared to other tool, suppose i find 200 files, and i have to resort it on the basis or creation date or size, or name or something else then, ?

Avafind : precisely what i was looking for, one can search with shortcut of shift+esc.

size, location, name, created, modified, type etc. extremely convenient, only drawback i find in it is that it cannot search inside the files, it searches for the file names only, and it's paid

i used 20- 22 or so more tools also but they are not even worth mentioning.

so i ended up with avafind as my primary search tool, and Google desktop as secondary search tool ( both can be used simultaneously because both have different functions as well as different shortcuts, ava searches for file names, google desktop searches for data inside the files, ( rarely used because i almost always know what the file contains, i forget where the file is...

I AM SATISFIED now Lolz,!!!
